A villein(English) was a peasant (tenant farmer) who was legally tied to a lord of the manor in the feudal system.

Wattle and Daub
Wattle and daub(English) is the construction method where you
- put up big wooden posts as a frame
- weave willow banches and twigs into a wall
- smear clay and cow shot into the gaps (wind-proof)
