Aus ZUM-Unterrichten

Wenn man Fragen (engl. : questions) von der direkten Rede in die indirekte Rede setzt, wird die Frage zum Nebensatz.


"Where do you live?"

He asked her where she lived.

question word + S   V

"Do you play football?"

He asked him if he played football.

if / whether + S   V   O

Ein Fragewort wird wiederholt; bei Fragen ohne Fragewort wird if / whether eingeschoben. Der Satzbau im Nebensatz folgt dabei dem normalen S - V - O-Schema.

Perspective Shift

Put in the correct personal and possessive pronouns. Take care of the Perspective Shift!

1. Tony said "I'm hungry!"

2. "Can you help me with my homework?"

    He asked me if I could help him() with his() homework.

3. Tim said "Can I have your car?"

    Tim asked if he() could have my() car.

4. "Mary, have you ever been to America to visit your friends?"

5. "Our parents 'll visit us."

    He said that their parents() would visit them().

6. "Can you pick us up?"
